Once a year the board retreats to an off-site location to review proposals and finalize the agenda for the annual conference. It’s also a time for the board members to enjoy a day together exchanging ideas and socializing beyond the reaches of their e-mails, cell phones and 24/7 day jobs. In 2007 the board retreated to Congressional Country Club in Bethesda, Maryland where they enjoyed fellowship and a round of golf compliments of board member Kathy Langan and her employer, Hess Construction + Engineering Services.
In 2008 the board returned to Congressional Country Club to set the agenda for the 2009 conference and enjoy time together.
